10 Things Highly Creative People Do

Creativity works in mysterious ways, and often paradoxical. For some people creativity is a stable and basic trait in their personality. But it may also change based on context, ambience and special situations. Inspiration and ideas often arise, seemingly, out of nowhere and it’s not rare they fail to show up when we need them the most. Creative thinking requires complex cognition yet is totally distinct from the thinking process.

Neuroscience pains a complicated picture of creativity and scientists now understant it is far more complex than a right-left brain distinction. Previous studies talked about the left brain steering our rational and analytical thinking and our right brain steering the creative and emotional part. It’s not that simple. Creativity is though to involve a number of cognitive processes, neural pathwats and emotions and we still don’t have the full picture of how the imaginative mind works.

While there’s no typical creative type, here are 10 characteristics and behaviors of highly cretive people, published in The Huffington Post.

1. They daydream.

2. They surround themselves with beauty.
